Student Kolam Making Competition T&Cs

-The Sunway Square Deepavali 2026 Kolam Art Competition public voting period will run from 22 October to 9 November 2026, during the mall’s official operating hours (10am - 10pm), at Sunway Square L1 Main Entrance (Indoor Plaza).
-The Competition is open to Sunway University students who fulfil the eligibility requirements set by the Organiser.
-Participants are required to register through the designated registration channel within the stipulated registration period.
-Each participant/team is required to create an original Kolam artwork based on the designated Competition theme.
-Participants must complete their Kolam artwork within the allocated competition time and designated competition area.
-The artwork must be the participant’s/team’s original creation and must not be copied, traced, or reproduced from another person’s artwork.
-Participants shall only use the materials permitted or provided by the Organiser. Materials deemed unsafe or unsuitable are not allowed.
-Participants are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring that their designated competition area is properly cleaned after the Competition.
-Participants must not damage the venue, flooring, fixtures, equipment or surrounding property. -Any damage caused by the participant/team may be subject to the relevant charges or actions by the Organiser.
-All artworks will be judged by a panel appointed by the Organiser based on creativity, originality, relevance to the theme, design and composition, cultural elements, technique and overall presentation.
-The judges’ decision shall be final, and no correspondence or appeal regarding the judging results will be entertained.
-Winners will be announced by the Organiser through the designated official channels.
-Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other items unless otherwise determined by the Organiser.
-The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant/team who breaches these Terms & Conditions, submits plagiarised artwork, uses prohibited materials or engages in inappropriate or disruptive behaviour.
-Participants warrant that their submitted artwork does not infringe any third-party copyright, intellectual property or other rights.
-The Organiser reserves the right to reproduce, display and publish images of the submitted artworks for Competition-related publicity and promotional purposes without additional compensation.
-Personal information collected during registration may be used for Competition administration, communication, prize fulfilment, event management and related publicity, in accordance with applicable Malaysian personal data protection laws and the Organiser’s privacy policy.
-The Organiser reserves the right to amend, postpone, suspend or cancel the Competition or modify these Terms & Conditions where necessary.
-The Organiser’s decision on all matters relating to the Competition shall be final and binding.
-By registering for and/or participating in the Competition, participants are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
-The protection of personal data is an important concern to Sunway and personal data collected will be treated in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Notice of the company at https://www.sunwaymalls.com/privacy-notice/
-Participants are deemed to have read the Personal Data Protection Notice (“Notice”) (as posted on https://www.sunwaymalls.com/privacy-notice/ and agreed to the processing of their personal information in accordance with the Notice.
-The mall is not liable for any damages, or injuries that accompany or result from your use of games and activities at the event area.
-By participating in the event activities, the mall reserves the right to publish or display the photographs and/or videos which you may be part of for advertising, marketing and publicity purposes.
